Now that the U.S. Supreme Court
has struck down a nationwide ban on sports betting, Connecticut is looking to that as a possible new source of revenue amid the state's budget woes. Some advocates and lawmakers have touted legalizing marijuana and implementing a tax on it as another option. However, at question is how much revenue can the state raise through these means and how much will it help close the fiscal gaps?
