Jury awards damages to family in New London bed bug case
A jury in New London this week awarded $16,500 to a family who had filed a lawsuit against a New London hotel because of the bed bugs in their room.
A six-member jury delivered a verdict against New London Hospitality LLC, doing business as Clarion Inn New London. The jury ordered the company to pay $15,000 to Gregory Peck, $1,000 to Sajanee Mack and $500 to Immanuel Mack. The verdict was delivered on Monday in New London Superior Court following a trial.
The family had stayed a night at the Clarion Inn in November 2017 and later complained of bites and skin rashes. Peck was represented at trial by John Nazzaro of the New London-based Reardon Law Firm.
