White leads short-handed Sun to victory

Mohegan — Tan White tied her career high as she scored 26 points with six assists as the short-handed Connecticut Sun beat the Washington Mystics on Friday, 77-70.

Kelsey Griffin had 17 points and Mistie Bass added eight points and 10 rebounds for Connecticut (7-23). It was missing four starters — 2013 WNBA MVP Tina Charles (knee), Kelly Faris (foot), Allison Hightower (knee), and Kara Lawson (bruised knee). All but Lawson have been shut down for the season.

Crystal Langhorne had 16 points and 11 rebounds and Tayler Hill scored 15 for the Mystics (14-16), which would've earned a playoff berth with a win.
