Indianapolis —Erlana Larkins had 14 points, 10 rebounds and five steals to lead the Indiana Fever to a 79-65 win over the Connecticut Sun on Thursday night before 6,305 at Banker’s Fieldhouse.

Briann January scored a game-high 20 and Shavonte Zellous added 14 points for Indiana (2-3), which won despite the absence of Olympian forward Tamika Catchings (back).

Rookie Chiney Ogwumike had 18 points and 15 rebounds for the Sun (1-4). Katie Douglas (11 points) was the only other player to score in double figures.
