Tigers top IronBirds

Pat Leyland was 3-for-4 and scored twice to help lead the Connecticut Tigers to a 5-3 win over the Aberdeen IronBirds Saturday night in a New York-Penn League game at Dodd Stadium.
Javier Ozcona drove in a pair of runs and Curt Powell and Duncan McAlpine had doubles for the Tigers (26-31).
Five Connecticut pitchers combined to pitch a five-hitter. Logan Ehlers (2-1) was the winner in relief and Zac Reininger pitched a hitless ninth with two strikeouts to earn his eighth save.
