    Happy Anniversary

...to me! We celebrated our third anniversary this week (by "celebrate" I mean "say 'Happy Anniversary' to each other and hope to get out to dinner later this week"...). I got to thinking about the last three years and thought you might like to hear about it.

(p.s. As a side note, I haven't blogged in over a week! Apparently the same space-time continuum that has gotten me to 32 1/2 weeks pregnant without me knowing about it also makes entire weeks go by without me blogging and having no idea that that much time has passed. Serious - I'm in some kind of alternate universe here)

Anyhow--here is a short breakdown of my past three years of married life. Of the past three years:

    [naviga:ul]

[naviga:li]For the six months immediately following the wedding, I was just my "normal" self. Sometime towards the end of that six month period is probably the last time I drank. I mean,

really drank. While I have NO DESIRE to ever drink enough to be hungover ever again, I do have distant fuzzy memories that those were some fun times![/naviga:li][naviga:li]For 18 months or ONE HALF of the time we have been married, I have been pregnant. ONE HALF. [/naviga:li][naviga:li]For the remaining time, which simple math will tell you is 12 months, I was nursing.[/naviga:li][/naviga:ul]

So, in short, 83.33% of my married life (we have been together for nine years, fyi) has been spent growing, sustaining, or for a three month period, both growing and sustaining life. I would say neither of those things probably makes me the best wife I can be, because unfortunately for the Hubbs, he is automatically relegated to second place. But somehow, three years later, we are stronger, happier and more complete. And in about 36 hours from the time this posts, we will be homeowners again! I couldn't have asked for a better three years. I couldn't be happier with my family. Married life has completed and fulfilled me in ways I never could have known about or expected. I can't wait to see what else our futures hold!
