Four star recruit commits to UConn

Will Jackson, a 6-foot-4, 180-pound guard out of Athens Christian School in Georgia, reportedly made an oral commitment to UConn on Monday.

OntheRadarHoops first broke the news on Twitter.

Here’s what Jackson told the Athens Banner-Herald about his commitment:

“I loved their style of play,”Jackson said. “The coaches were what really impressed me. They were great people.”

UConn coach Kevin Ollie and assistant coach Karl Hobbs recently saw Jackson, a Class of 2015 recruit, play. Jackson also attended UConn’s First Night festivities last fall.

    Jacksonhad a triple-double – 29 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists – in Athens Christian’s 62-50 victory over Athens Academy on Friday.

Kansas, Georgia, Alabama, Georgia Tech and UNC-Charlotte also showed interest in Jackson, whose nickname is Turtle.

Jackson is the second Class of 2015 guard to commit to UConn, joining 6-3 Prince Ali of The Sagemont School in Florida. Ali picked UConn in late November.
