A grand jury in Washington County, RI, has indicted three men in connection with the knifepoint robbery of a 16-year-old on Beach Street in Westerly on Nov. 15, 2008.

Westerly residents Jamie Castagnaro, 20, James Lucy, 18, and Robert Austin, 18, have been charged with first-degree robbery and conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery. Lucy also has been charged with possession of marijuana. Police say the three men and three 16-year-olds had arranged to buy marijuana from the victim. When he arrived, they robbed him at knifepoint, stealing the marijuana and $100 cash.

The minors were charged in the incident, but the disposition of their cases is unknown since they are being tried confidentially in family court.

Castagnaro, Lucy and Austin will be arraigned in Washington County Superior Court on Feb. 9.
