Lynn Mary Andersh and Nicholas Anthony Martino of Stonington are pleased to announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Marie Grills of Groton and the groom to be is the son of Victor and Kathleen Martino of Stonington.

The bride-to-be graduated from Fitch High School in Groton. She attended Stonehill College and received a bachelor's of arts in elementary education and psychology. She is planning to attend Southern Connecticut State University for a master's in special education.

The groom to be graduated from Stonington High School and is employed by Stop & Shop.

They are planning an Aug. 8, 2009, wedding in Westerly, R.I.
