Born This Way fashion show is Sunday in New London

This is a runway with a little something extra. At the annual Born This Way fashion show presented by OutCT, the models dress in drag.

And so they will when the latest show hits the runway Sunday at the Port N Starboard in New London’s Ocean Beach Park.

There will also be some drag performances during the night emceed by Kelli Randell. Beforehand, attendees can partake of hors d’oeuvres, a pasta station and a cash bar. And after the fashion show, there’ll be a night of dancing.

A raffle and silent auction are part of the fun, too.

All proceeds benefit outCT’s Youth Program. The publicity explains: “This event will help highlight the importance of all children and young adults, especially lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth. We believe that everyone has the right to feel safe, to be empowered, and to make a difference in the world; together we will move towards acceptances, bravery, and love.”
