There are many reasons to love the Willimantic Brewing Company, even if there are now several fine closer craft breweries in our immediate area.

For one, the Willimantic brews are consistently good, fresh and creatively conceived. There are usually about 15 Willibrews (as they’re called) at any time, along with a curator’s selection of other craft beers. For another, the food is tasty. Third? It’s the WBC is the oldest craft brewery in the state, dating back to 1993.

Finally, it’s in a classic building that used to be a post office ― meaning you can drink excellent beer in a place that used to have wanted posters of me on the wall!
