State troubadour plays Friday Night Folk

    Kala Farnham (Tim Martin)

This month’s offering from the Friday Night Folk concert series features Danielson multi-instrumentalist/singer Kala Farnham, who is our latest Connecticut State Troubadour.

Trivia: Where did you hear of Farnham first?

That’s right! She appeared on The Day’s “Live Lunch Break” series waaaaay back in 2014! So, yes, we’re prescient when it comes to forecasting greatness.

Since the “Live Lunch Break” performance — and before being crowned Connecticut State Troubadour last summer, Farnham has racked up such accolades as the 2020 Falcon Ridge Festival Emerging Artist, 2020 Great American Song Contest Finalist, and 2019 Rose Garden Performing Songwriter Contest winner. Her last album was the thoughtful and melodic 2020 album "Your Spirit Is a Work of Art.”

The concert takes place in New London’s All Souls UU, with a Livestream option going live the night of the performance on Youtube.com/@AllSoulsNewLondon.
