As has become a frequent booking strategy with promoters, another double bill featuring moderately successful bands from another era hits Foxwoods Friday.

Why not make it a double-double?

Having risen to fame in the ’90s, the Gin Blossoms, Sugar Ray, Fastball and Tonic all gather to perform their hits and possibly even new songs in the Premier Theater.

My suspicion is that fans of any of these acts have plenty of overlapping and imprinted memories of all four groups. If you loved “Hey Jealousy” (Blossoms), you certainly remember “Fly” (Sugar Ray) and the feloniously excellent “The Way” (Fastball). Not sure you’d remember Tonic’s “Waltz With Me,” which isn’t near their most successful tune, but I love it, so there.
