    A Pharoah of 1,000 faces

    Jay Pharoah (submitted)

It’s said that comedian and actor Jay Pharoah can do over 200 impersonations.

Admittedly, I watched a variety of Pharoah’s impersonations and, frequently, I had no idea who the person was he was impersonating. This is because a) I’m 102 years old and b) the Wheels of Celebrity spin at an incredibly high rate of speed. People famous TODAY will be forgotten in two weeks!

Nonetheless, I can trust Pharoah is doing these impersonations accurately because the ones he did of people I DO know were eerily spot-on. Not only that, but they were funny in terms of content. Oh: and all that’s in addition to his regular routine of jokes.

See Pharoah entertain Saturday in Foxwood’s Great Cedar Showroom. By the end, you’ll wonder if it’s someone else impersonating Jay Pharoah.

Jay Pharoah, 8 p.m. Saturday, Great Cedar Showroom, Foxwoods; $42-$65; foxwoods.com.
