The Ocean House Author Series continues Wednesday in the renowned Watch Hill hotel when novelist Jeffrey Blount discusses and signs copies of his new book, “Mr. Jimmy From Around the Way.”

In the story, the titular Jimmy, trying to escape a chaotic life, ends up in a small and impoverished Mississippi town and, after a troubling discovery shakes the community, emerges as a possible community hero — if he can successfully confront his own self-doubt.

Bestselling author Deborah Goodrich Royce, owner of the Ocean House, will lead the conversation with Blount. The event is co-sponsored by Bank Square Books, and the price of a ticket includes a copy of “Mr. Jimmy From Around the Way” and refreshments.
