Sing for the children
Whether you want to have a career in children’s music like Raffi, or would simply enjoy bringing the kids to a Raffi-worthy children’s music concert, you need to be at Mitchell College in New London this Saturday.
The Artists & Educators Children’s Songs Conference & Festival takes place on campus with two distinct programs of emphasis. In the morning segment, workshops are for musicians and educators and include Music in the Classroom, Contemporary Recording Techniques, the Business of Children’s Music, Teachers Making Music and more.
Instructors for the A.M. sessions are educator/musicians Chris Clouet, Al DeCant, Steve Elci and Greg Lato – and those four, all of whom are veteran songwriters and performers, will entertain at the afternoon’s family-friendly Children’s Songs Festival.
For more information, see story in Friday’s Daybreak arts and features section.
