Entertainment's a slam dunk with the Harlem Globetrotters at Mohegan Sun
Ours is an advanced culture where kids fly rocket ships, write bestselling vampire novels, and kill stags with poison darts from 300 yards - all by the age of nine.
I wonder, then: does seeing the Harlem Globetrotters still have the same electricity for children (and adults) as it did when I was young? My Uncle John took me when I was 11 and the 'Trotters were bigger than life, magical in their super-human skills and endless goodwill and charm.
I'll never forget the amazing basketball grace and humor the team brought to the court. The Globetrotters play Sunday in the Mohegan Sun Arena, and I'm betting their sorcery still translates.
