The Last Green Valley’s 23rd annual Walktober event will take place this October with free walks, hikes, paddles, bike rides, tours and other events highlighting the cultural, historic and natural resources of the 35-town bi-state National Heritage Corridor.

The 2013 Walktober will feature 106 events. Each walk is labeled easy, moderate or difficult and many offerings are geared for families with children. The family dog is welcome at pet-friendly walks. Events will include the Connecticut Renaissance Faire, held for the first time in Norwich, and the fifth annual Brimfield Antique Auto Show in Brimfield, Mass.
