The Last Green Valley will host the Tastes of the Valley fund-raiser and harvest festival from 4 to 7 p.m. Sept. 15.

It will take place at the Mansion at Bald Hill, 29 Plaine Hill Road, Woodstock, and is sponsored by Putnam Bank, Putnam Plastics, Charter Oak Credit Union, Paul Wakely Builders, Millennium Power, the Mansion at Bald Hill, Vegware and Rebecca Harvey.

The event will feature food grown and raised in the 35 towns of the National Heritage Corridor and prepared by chefs from the region. Tastes of the Valley showcases the skills of local farmers, chefs, cheese makers, vintners and brewers.

The event also will include a live auction, with items including a kayak, hot tub (delivered to buyer's home), pair of Adirondack chairs, a one-hour violin performance, and special personalized and behind-the-scenes experiences, such as private watercraft paddling lessons and lunch. Raffle baskets with items from local businesses, farms and activities will also be available.
