Author talk with Dinitia Smith

Dinitia Smith will discuss her novel “The Honeymoon,” based on the life of the English writer George Eliot, who was born Mary Ann Evans. The talk is at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Mystic & Noank Library. The talk and book signing, hosted by Bank Square Books, will take place in the library’s Ames Room.
Smith is an Emmy Award-winning filmmaker and has taught creative writing at Columbia University. She is a correspondent for culture at the New York Times and lives in New York City.
