This “sure to impress” holiday stocking is a great beginner sewing project. Each one is totally unique to the maker.
Create a handmade decoration for the holidays. In this class at Spark Makerspace, 7 Union Street, New London, CT, our sewing teacher Sherri will guide you step by step as you create a simple quilted holiday stocking. This class does not have any skill level requirements besides the basic use of a sewing machine all materials will be provided!

It’s time to Deck the Walls! We’re so excited to partner with the Stonington Garden Club and Stone Acres Farm for our annual wreath and decor fundraiser, Deck the Walls! All proceeds benefit the Stonington Historical Society and are earmarked specifically for the preservation and maintenance of our gardens and grounds. Deck the Walls runs from Dec. 1 through Dec. 3. We’ll kick off with a ticketed preview party on Dec. 1st from 6 – 8pm, followed by an open house with Wreath-Making Workshops, Holiday Market on the Farm, and more on December 2nd and 3rd.
Groton, Conn. – Keep your pets engaged, happy and active this winter with tips and tricks from the Connecticut Human Society. Bill Memorial Library will sponsor a live Zoom presentation on Pet Boredom Busters on Thursday, December 1, at 6:30 p.m. During this one-hour program, educator Ashley Marshall will share ideas to help keep all types of pets active during the cold winter months. From pet piñatas to potted cat grass, there will be something for every pet. This program is free, and registration is required.
