This time of year, the region is always all a-glow, thanks to endless and endlessly creative light displays.

Leading the way: Olde Mistick Village, which brings back its ever-popular Holiday Lights Spectacular. It is on view from Nov. 18 through Jan. 31. I don’t know who does the counting (because it’s a LOT of counting), but more than a half-million lights will decorate OMV, its shops and restaurants. It’s free to the public.
