      Education/Lectures

This is an intermediate-level workshop for those who are skilled and competent in the basics of glass cutting, grinding, foiling, and soldering.

In this intermediate-level workshop, you will learn and practice critical finishing skills including: how to properly frame your work, use chemical patinas, make hooks and hangers, and how to prepare for polish and protect from oxidation.

We will be using brass, lead and zinc came. You will learn how to apply patina to change the color of solder and other metals, as well as how to securely and creatively hang your panel for display and make custom wire hooks.

No need to bring in your own work. All materials will be provided for you to make sample pieces showing the techniques for future reference. This hands-on class will prepare you to plan and finish your art glass project using “tricks of the trade” for an artistic and professional-looking finish.

This class is intended for experienced stained glass students ages. 16+
