The Connecticut River Museum is once again a CT Summer at the Museum location! Governor Ned Lamont recently announced the return of the program for the 2023 season. Through this initiative, admission to select museums is free to all Connecticut resident children ages 18 and younger, plus one accompanying adult. This program will run from Saturday, July 1, through Monday, September 4. The Connecticut River Museum is honored to partner with CT Humanities and the CT Office of the Arts again to administer the CT Summer at the Museum Initiative. For more details on the museum’s upcoming events to plan your family’s visit, please go to: https://ctrivermuseum.org/events/.
Admission: Free (For children 18 & under, and one accompanying adult)
Get out on the water with the Connecticut River Museum because it’s cruising season! There are now two ways to enjoy the Connecticut River. Come aboard the Onrust, a re-creation of the first European vessel to chart the River in 1614, or hop on RiverQuest, an eco-tour boat that explores the river’s ecology, rich history, and wildlife. Choose from daily public sails and sunset cruises, or specialty cruises — like Kids Cruises or Gillette Castle viewings — to seasonal bird watching adventures with eagles, osprey, swallows, and more. For more information regarding dates, times, ticket prices, and to book your trip, visit at https://ctrivermuseum.org/booking-calendar/m.
Times: Departures range from 11:30am-7:30pm
Admission: $30-$40 (Please note: member discounts are applicable.)
