Bulbs galore: Niantic Light Parade returns Saturday
Lights! Cameras! Floats!
It’s time for one of the most popular events in East Lyme, the Niantic Light Parade. It’s been going on for — can it be? — 35 years.
You know the drill: Line Main Street and part of Pennsylvania Avenue to watch a procession of people who have creatively decorated floats, cars, and even themselves with lights.
It’s always a fun, festive night — hey, there’s a reason the parade has been a tradition for so long. Bring your camera because there are inevitably floats you want to capture for posterity.
Niantic Light Parade, 6 p.m. Saturday, starts at corner of Columbus Avenue and Main Street, travels down Main and onto Pennsylvania Avenue, ending at Grand Street.
