    Julia Bondy throws no-hitter in Williams' win

    New London — Julia Bondy pitched a no-hitter with nine strikeouts as The Williams School softball team beat Wheeler of Providence 5-4 on Tuesday.

    Megan Bondy had a double, two RBI and scored for Williams (3-3) and Sydney Hill hit a two-run single. Also, Haley Blair singled and scored twice and Danielle Auerbach singled and drove in a run.

    â–  Sarah Emery hit a two-run homer and Elysa Parrilla pitched a three-hitter as Stonington defeated Killingly 4-0 in the Eastern Connecticut Conference Medium Division. Parrilla struck out seven and walked one for the Bears (5-2, 2-1), who also got an offensive lift from Briana Minicucci, who went 3-for-3 with a run and an RBI. Killingly is 0-8, 0-3.

    â–  Tori Satti had a three-run double in the sixth inning to break a 4-4 tie and lift Ledyard to a 10-4 victory over East Lyme in the ECC Large Division. East Lyme pitchers walked nine batters, including the first six in the sixth inning to tie the score. Kirsten Boyd also had a two-run double for Ledyard in the decisive sixth. Jenny Forster (6-2) was the winning pitcher for Ledyard (6-2, 2-1). Cashel Gaffey was 3-for-4 with an RBI for East Lyme (2-6, 0-3).

    â–  Tess Rubega allowed just two hits over four innings with five strikeouts and had two hits, including a double, with two RBI as NFA downed Woodstock Academy 15-0 in an ECC Large game called after five innings. Gen Barlow went 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBI for NFA (4-3, 1-2).

    â–  Alexa Gospodinoff struck out 13 for St. Bernard in a 6-1 win over New London in the ECC Small Division. Casey Brigham added two hits for St. Bernard (5-2. 3-1). New London is 3-5, 3-2.

    â–  Rachel Rogoff pitched a five-hitter and struck out eight for Montville in a 5-0 win over Windham in the ECC Medium Division. Macy Stefanski had a triple for Montville (5-3, 2-1) and Courtney Stefano added a home run.

    â–  Emily Vigue threw her first no-hitter, striking out eight and walking two, in Lyman Memorial's 23-1 win over Putnam in an ECC Small Division game shortened to five innings because of the mercy rule. Rachel Robtoy singled, doubled, tripled and drove in three runs while Thais Caraganis had two singles and scored four runs for Lyman (6-1, 3-0).

    â–  Kaitlin Banks' sacrifice bunt in the 10th inning scored Mara Fischer from first base and gave Old Lyme a 1-0 win over North Branford in the Shoreline Conference. Sammy Yuknat and Cassie Algar each had two hits for Old Lyme (6-0, 6-0).
