Just missing qualification into the state tournament, the Old Saybrook boys' lacrosse squad-owners of a 6-10 record this spring-brings much to the table in future campaigns for the Rams despite being senior-heavy in 2012.

After a spring that saw Old Saybrook fight tooth and nail with some of the top teams in the Shoreline Conference, the Rams will certainly be ready-now with added experience in pressure games-to fight for a state title after coming up just short of taking that next step this past spring.

Leading the Rams were seniors Clay Farrell (midfield/attack), Mike Sweeney (midfield), Taylor Flynn (midfield), Nate Backus (attack), Nick Santamaria (attack/midfield), and Joe Tiden (goalkeeper). Also contributing were juniors Liam O'Donnell (midfield), Teddy Gudis (midfield), Kent Tiden (midfield), Josh Scherber (midfield/attack), and Sean McAvoy (defense).
