Fitch's Tyler Latham wins CIAC decathlon; Joe Carter of Ledyard third

New London — Tyler Latham of Fitch High School won the CIAC Decathlon championship and Ledyard’s Joe Carter placed third on Wednesday afternoon at Coast Guard.
Latham finished with 6,304 points. Nicholas Griswold of Foran was second (5,749), followed by Carter (5,569).
Latham won the 110 meter hurdles (15.21) and javelin (174-6) as part of the decathlon.
