H.S. lacrosse roundup: Fiengo, Kenny lead East Lyme girls past Stonington
Stonington — Gabby Fiengo and Belle Kenny scored two goals each as East Lyme beat Stonington 8-4 on Thursday night in a rematch of last season's Eastern Connecticut Conference girls' lacrosse tournament final.
Kendall Roberts, Steph deLaforcade, Nina Sanfilippo and Sara Shukis also scored for the Vikings (6-0), who won last year's title game 7-5.
Margot Calmar scored three goals and Hannah Johnson also scored for Stonington (4-1).
In other games:
• Lulu Potter had five goals and Christina Konstantinidis stopped 15 shots as NFA beat St. Bernard, 11-9. Kathleen Kelly had three goals and Maya Bell added two assists for NFA (3-4). Joelle Hage, Melissa Rayment and Mia Whitaker all scored, too. Flora Klise had three goals and Kara Bassett two goals for the Saints (3-3). Also, Shannon Amarello, Mia Londregan, Christen Teskey and Monica Muriel each scored.
• Leah Petrini had eight goals and an assist and Riley Dimmock added four goals and two assists as Waterford downed Fitch, 17-5. Julie Chabot scored three times and Mary Grace Wyatt added two goals and an assist for the Lancers (5-1). Cat Ward added eight saves. Michelina Pinto had two goals and two assists, Lauren Roper had two goals and Casey Startz scored for the Saints (1-4).
• Maddy Lahm scored seven goals, leading Williams School to a 16-8 win over Providence Country Day on Wednesday. Britt Widham scored three times and Rachel Goldstein, Bella Grissom and Mia Marciano had two goals each for Williams (4-1).
Boys
• Ian Foster had five goals and Matt Scahill added three goals in Ledyard's 11-5 win over Montville. The Colonels improved to 2-4. Pat Caron had three goals and Mike Lopez and Kyle Marsh each added one for the Indians (0-4).
• Andre Mancini had six goals and two assists as Woodstock Academy beat St. Bernard/Wheeler, 11-2. Mike Guth and Pat Brady both scored for St. Bernard/Wheeler (0-5) and Allen Schereder had 14 saves.
• Dillon Jennings scored four goals to lift East Lyme past Stonington, 11-5. Zane Smallidge had two goals and an assist while Ryan deLarforcade had two goals and three assists for the Vikings (5-1). Andrew Frosti had two goals for the Bears (4-2).
• Michael Beltran had five goals and two assists in Waterford's 12-10 win over Fitch. Spencer Sgandurra had four goals and two assits while Bill Barrs added two goals and three assists for the Lancers (4-2). Ryan Reuling and Luke Letellier each had four goals and an assist for the Falcons (4-3).
• Bacon Academy beat NFA 14-13. Logan Morin had five goals and two assists, Kyle Ton scored four times, Ben Thompson had two goals and an assist and Nick Jacaruso had a goal and an assist for NFA (3-2).
