Leave 'loser' statues to state, local authority

President Donald Trump doesn't like losers, yet he seems to have a lot of affection for the Confederate States of America, the guys who lost the Civil War; ergo, the losers.

He has likened Robert E. Lee to George Washington and Thomas Jefferson since they were all slave owners.

I am not about to defend Washington and Jefferson on this point, but there is one critical difference. They were Founding Fathers, while Lee, along with other Confederate figures, sought to destroy the nation.

The issue of whether or not to have Confederate monuments is a state and local issue and frankly none of the president's business.
