Trump threatens to rough up his critics

"I have the support of the police, the support of the military, the support of the Bikers for Trump. I have the tough people, but they don't play it tough; until they go to a certain point and then it would be very bad, very bad." This unbelievable quote is from the president of the U.S. threatening the American people. It's from a Breitbart interview the week of March 10, 2019.

It's more than time now to repeat what's being said ad infinitum by those with vision: Trump, spewing vile invective daily, is an existential threat to us and our democracy. It's more than time now to shout that fact from the rooftops  before we're overwhelmed.

Before history repeats itself, every voter needs to take to heart the cautionary poem by the German Martin Niemoller. It resonates now as much as ever:

First, they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out - Because I was not a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out - Because I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out - Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me - and there was no one left to speak for me.
