As we struggle with the pandemic and outrage over police murders of Blacks, we demand health protection and equal rights for all.

The response of President Trump and his enablers is to fawn on Wall Street at the expense of Main Street. The consumers that the economy needs to generate a rebound are broke and being held hostage to false messages on safe reopening. While railing against Black Lives Matter protests and condemning the few that are violent and include looting; the president and his gang are violating our norms, restricting voting, deploying the military against Americans to stage a Bible revival photo-op, breaking the Justice Department to help his mob avoid jail, looting more wealth for the rich and trashing Environmental Protection Agency rules.

While condemning the burning of buildings, this administration is actively burning up the planet with their backward policies. Our government ignores the majority who want justice and environmental protection; they reject science, allow corporate polluters free reign, make cars and trucks less efficient, reduce worker protections and encourage white supremacists.

The Donald should read the Bible, attend church, trust science, listen to the American people because they matter, and speak the truth − because it matters.
