David Rubino is a resident of Old Lyme, a local attorney, a small business owner, and a Democrat running for the Connecticut State House of Representatives in District 23, which includes Old Lyme, Lyme, Old Saybrook and part of Westbrook. He is a strong proponent of bipartisan collaboration in order to get things done in Hartford.

I believe that Dave is highly qualified to lead us in rebuilding our local economy. He understands that our area depends heavily on travel and tourism, and he will find a balance between attracting new visitors without jeopardizing public health.

He understands that small businesses can thrive on the Connecticut shoreline but that the keys to entrepreneurship and job creation are quality health care, smart investment in infrastructure, monitoring the impacts of these investments on the environment and community, reducing student loans and providing access to investment.

Dave’s experience as member on the Old Lyme Economic Development Council means he knows what businesses need to thrive and grow.

This Election Day is an extremely important day for our nation, but local elections matter too. I will be voting for Dave Rubino for state representative, and I encourage my neighbors to do the same.
