Backing Marx in 20th for state Senate
I would like to endorse Martha Marx, the Democratic candidate for the state Senate, 20th District seat, which includes Waterford, East Lyme, New London, Old Lyme, Bozrah, Montville, and Old Saybrook. Her experience as a registered nurse for the past 30 years, which includes her care and compassion for the elderly and homebound patients; and her sensitivity to the needs of the struggling middle class working people, make her the ideal candidate.
Her work as Democratic Town Committee chairwoman, and her service on the City Council in New London are valid reasons to vote for Martha Marx. Although I believe that Black Lives Matter and the police need to be held accountable for their actions per the recent Police Accountability Bill, passed July 31, I also feel that "All Lives Matter." We all need to be held accountable for our own actions. Her campaign encompasses these values.
"But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived." (2 Timothy 3:13) The Holy Bible (KJV) If you believe as I do; cast your vote for Marx.
