The constant roaring din on Ocean Avenue

I read with incredulity "Flooring It," (Sept. 25). I have spoken to other Ocean Avenue homeowners and even called the mayor regarding the roaring din coming from the souped-up cars and bikes that fly up the street at very high speed, at all hours of the day and night. Zipping through red lights at intersections and swarming around other drivers on both sides as they pass them.

There will be a horrible accident that will cause injury or death to either the average driver or the reckless speeders and then, maybe then, something will be done, perhaps laws will be enforced. I am sure the lawyers are preparing their filings against the city even as we anticipate the next roar and bang charging up our streets. There goes another motor bike racing along, up on its back tire, right through the intersection as it passes the cars waiting at the light.
