'Shrinkflation' is nothing new
The people that run this country — i.e., the government, corporations — must think that we are gullible morons. Shrinkflation has been going on for a very long time. What happened to the five-pound bag of sugar? It was changed to a four-pound bag. Half gallon of ice cream was changed to 1.5 quarts. Coffee, bar soap, candy bars — the list is seemingly endless! All of this happened before this latest bout of inflation. It will continue to happen with or without high inflation. It is simply a way for the greedy to get more of what they want. Personally, I think some of the people in charge are people that jump on the "bandwagon." They see a chance to grab more, and they take it. Shame on them. Honorless.
