Unions' silence shows dislike of health reform

Regarding health care reform for the masses (not the important people): It is interesting to note that my union (the National Education

Association) has been shockingly quiet in supporting this "reform." Union members normally receive countless e-mails and letters urging us to support the latest bleeding-heart program that throws money at some perceived problem: "Call your congressman" and "Rally at the Capitol" - but not this time.

It is clear that the union understands that this "health care reform" is not of any positive value to any middle-class American who uses a private insurance policy. The silence from my union is deafening. I am surprised more people have not picked up on it. In fact I have not seen or heard of any unions advocating for the socialist reforms

Doesn't that tell you something? Why do you suppose the unions are not wholeheartedly endorsing their traditional pals and cronies?

Could it be that the union leaders understand what a raw deal will befall their members? Of course, not to worry, the pain of this bad deal won't become effective under the current legislation until after President Obama runs for his second term. How convenient. Kill the bill. Throw the bums out.
