    Natural way to obtain better mental health

    I am a Political Science major at the University of New Hampshire. National Public Health Week is coming up in a few days and it is very important to talk about. Mental and emotional well-being, a key focus in national public health, is one of the primary focuses during NPHW. Anxiety and depression is an issue that, unfortunately, many face.

    I am here to tell you all just a few simple ways to start or end your day in a relaxed and calming manner. Yoga and Meditation: These two things go hand in hand. They are very relaxing and simply getting up and closing your eyes for a few minutes and just focusing on breathing will relieve any tension that is held throughout the body. Some might want to start a journal. Studies have shown that writing down how you feel everyday relieves stress and helps organize worries.

    Lastly, stress balls, which relieve tension in the muscles and get blood flowing better.

    These techniques can be used when going to bed or when waking up in the morning, or even sitting at the office or simply watching TV. Being relaxed and anxiety free can make you a happy person by using simple, natural techniques.
