I am sure New London Police Chief Margaret Ackley and Mayor Daryl Justin Finizio had many talks about former Deputy Chief Marshall Segar and former Capt. William Dittman behind closed doors.

If she spoke the truth about how hard Segar worked, as she said in the paper, why is he gone? A city like New London shouldn't lose its K-9 unit, with all the drug problems here.

Peter Reichard, the former assistant chief from New Haven who has been named deputy chief in New London, had problems with his officers in New Haven, supposedly threatening a detective for wearing white shoes. He also had problems with reporters. I think we don't need those kind of problems.

Segar and Dittman were stabbed in the back by Finizio and Ackley. New London needs to kick Finizio out, with Ackley marching with him.

Get Segar back and replace Ackley.
