Democracy for sale leaves him frustrated

What ever happened to "A Government of the people by the people and for the people?" Our electoral system has gone to pot ever since the Supreme Court ruling that money is a freedom of speech. The old adage that money talks is truly expressed in the campaigns since that decision was handed down.

I am not in favor of any of the presidential candidates because I do not believe that any one of them will do anything to better our country. I cannot believe that we have a democracy at the present time. All we have is a capitalistic form of government run by the 1 percent. It seems to me that our senators and representatives feel that they are the only ones with any brains in our country and that the people are not qualified to make any decisions. The letters I have sent to my senators asking for a vote against a certain bill have always been answered with a form letter telling why they will vote for it, if I even get an answer.

Our Supreme Court has taken away many of our freedoms, including prayer at any school function. So where is our democracy? Yet we are sending our young people to foreign countries to die trying to force our democracy on other people.
