Watch out for scams

Beware of high-pressure salesmen scanning your neighborhood trying to sell you a new roof or replacement windows. You may be out cutting your lawn, gardening or just outside enjoying your yard when they approach.
Don’t fall victim as I have, as it will cost you twice as much as it should and you won’t be happy with the results. You’ll spend the next two days, as I have, picking up nails out of your lawn.
Don’t be enticed by their sales pitch and fancy brochures. There are a lot of reputable local contractors that will be happy to give you an estimate and not pressure you to sign on the dotted line that very day.
