Securing our border is like locking the house

To the letter writers who criticize building a wall (or fence) at our border, I have a couple of questions to ask! First of all, when you go out of the place where you live, do you lock your door? Why? If you are lucky enough to own a home, do you have a fence around your yard? Why? If you are a person who would help homeless folks, would you let them into your home no questions asked, and allow them to do whatever they decided to do there?

Now that you have thought about that try to think about our borders as the same as your own private living quarters. How do you feel about it now?
