Citizens should not have to choose between voting or privacy
Registering and voting in Connecticut results in the state posting on the internet the name, address, phone number, and party affiliation of the voter. Some of us value our privacy more than the right and duty to vote. It is immoral and damaging to our state that we must choose between voting and our privacy.

Editor's note: The state does not post voter registration on the internet. However, the full voter registration file is available for $300, under Connecticut law. At least one group has purchased and posted that information on the internet.
