Strongly disagrees with depiction of events

The article about the New London protest, “New London police met with hostility during weekend disturbance,” (June 17), was biased and should be taken down from the website or severely corrected. It shares events that did not happen, and this from what has been a relied on and trusted source of news for as long as I have been alive.

I am ashamed for the walk I took down to the street corner to buy this newspaper specifically for trusted local news. Myself, and multiple other people that were there, are highly offended by what was written about the protest because it was lies. There was no lawn fire, and nobody tried to stop the police from getting through.

This needs to be publicly condemned before you make a local enemy of this newspaper.
