    New science advisor is 'mouthpiece'

We are in for it. On Aug. 11, during his coronavirus update, President Trump quietly introduced his new pandemic science advisor, Dr. Scott Atlas, a fellow at the conservative Hoover Institution. Atlas replaces Dr. Anthony Fauci in a switch that demonstrates Trump’s deep contempt for the health of the nation and his overriding conviction that he can get away with anything. Dr. Fauci is known and respected as one of the world’s leading experts on infectious diseases.  Trump is replacing him with a man who has no experience in that area. How can that be?

To answer, here are just a few article titles found on YouTube: “Dr. Scott Atlas Backs Calls to Play College Football This Fall: ‘We have to Become Rational Here.’” “Stanford’s Dr. Scott Atlas: ‘Stopping COVID-19 Cases Is Not The Appropriate Goal.'” “Dr. Scott Atlas: Science Demands That Schools Reopen.” “Dr. Atlas: Coronavirus Lockdowns as Eradicators Are A ‘Complete Misconception.’” In short, Dr. Atlas is not an advisor, he is a mouthpiece. If you had hopes that a crushing defeat at the polls would cause Trump to concede, I am afraid you are terribly wrong.
