Return to golden rule: treat others as you want to be treated

There are two sides (or more) to every story. It is sad how people can see things differently with such great hatred and vial behavior in what they say, do and do not do. So many have no respect for other people or property. What happened to treating others as you want to be treated? What happed to being kind? What happened to being intelligent, reasonable, and caring?

As I see it, people need to learn how to get their point across using facts and not unfounded opinions. They need to do it in a way that is becoming to them and everyone. And, if they feel strongly about what they believe to be true, instead of being rude, meanspirited and destructive, they need to do something about it by taking action and not just talking. Take action in a civilized and respectful way. We should be showing our children and the world that we are an intelligent, caring people who work to make our world a better place and we do so in a way that is honest and becoming to us all. That is who we need to be and what we need our children to learn from us.
