Write-In Hedrick for prosperity and unity

Much has changed since April 1 when I called for Aundré Bumgardner’s resignation in this paper. Thankfully, Keith Hedrick has launched a write-in campaign that exemplifies the spirit of our democracy, giving all Groton City voters a voice in this important election.

Unfortunately this has led to the vilification of non-Democrats in Groton City, directly from Bumgardner’s text blast: “Now, the same Democratic opponent is working with Republicans and has launched a write-in campaign” sounds like political partisanship and labeling an entire group of people as enemies creating an “us vs. them” mentality. That is the opposite of what our community needs from its leaders.

Working with all people, especially the ones that did not vote for them, is true leadership. We deserve a leader who will work with all his constituents towards prosperity and unity in Groton City and that is Keith Hedrick.

Make your voice heard and do not be bullied by DC/Hartford celebrity endorsements reminding you who won a primary. Vote for someone who is willing to work with you and will not hold petty grudges. Vote 1C and write in Keith Hedrick on Monday.
