I am sad, disappointed, surprised, and angry that The Day would allow its pages to be used to senselessly malign Mystic Aquarium President and CEO Steve Coan, an extraordinary individual and a great leader. I have worked with Steve over the years on a variety of non-profit boards and projects and always found him to be dedicated and willing to help in any way he can. Steve has skillfully and successfully navigated this region's premier attraction through many difficult years and situations. Steve's board at the Mystic Aquarium should be congratulated for hiring him and we should all be thankful to Steve for his hard work and leadership during these extraordinary times. Steve should be lauded in a special section of The Day dedicated to his achievements.
