I returned to New London a few weeks ago and was very excited to see a lawn sign for Nancy Cole, a candidate for City Council.

When I left the Navy and was attending UConn/Avery Point, I stayed with Nancy for two years. She became mother, mentor and friend to me.

One thing I remember so clearly is her love affair with New London. She never missed an opportunity to tell me the history of New London and the stories of the people who make it a great place to live and raise a family.

Nancy would bring more to the City Council than her love for New London. She is smart, energetic, insightful and has a real passion for open and transparent government. She listens to both sides of an argument with an open mind. She always chooses people and their interests over party.

She will make a great city councilor and I urge you to vote for Nancy Cole.
