Nick Menapace brings a fresh face, voice and perspective to Hartford. Young, energetic, intelligent, and inquisitive; this middle school Social Studies teacher is engaged with children, their families and communities addressing the challenges in the wake of the COVID pandemic.

A young public services professional, Nick not only identifies with our communities' challenges, but truly experiences them. “Affordable” housing and healthcare personally resonate for him. Our current representative advocates reduction of taxation for small businesses yet has proposed a contradictory concept of businesses subsidizing housing for employees.

Environmental solutions require more than acknowledging “greenhouse gases” and “global warming.” Nick will enable innovation and community engagement to develop novel means to solve this problem, especially for shoreline sustainability.

Nick is ernest in his commitment to sensible gun safety and realizes the relationship of firearms to domestic disputes and suicides. His opponent is quick to advertise her involvement with Safe Futures and Suicide prevention yet is a strong proponent for gun rights. “Successful death by suicide” is due predominately to firearms. Guns play a major role in domestic violence and the threat these situations pose for our peace officers.
